Evaluation Transcriber FAQ
1. I am interested in becoming a vendor/home based transcriber for Transcription Hub. How do I go about this?
To become a part of the Transcription Hub team, you will have to undergo an evaluation process. Once you have successfully completed testing, you will be brought onboard to the online marketplace system to start live work.
2. Do I need to take a test and how do I go about it before I start working?
Yes, you need to complete the evaluation process before starting to work as a Transcription Hub team member. To do this, you need to register with Transcription Hub via
Evaluation Transcriber Registration to undergo the evaluation process.
3. Can I work from home?
Yes, you have the option of working from home if that is your preference.
5. What steps do I need to follow to register for a test?
Go to Evaluation Transcriber Registration
Once you are on the registration page:
a. Enter the information as requested on the registration screen and Click on Create Account to complete registration process.
b. Once you are successfully registered, you will be taken to the login page.
c. Please login using the username and password.
d. You will be taken to the Marketplace screen.
e. You will need to wait for Transcription HUB Admin to assign audio/video files for you to pick up from the marketplace. Email notification will be sent to you when a file is assigned for evaluation.
f. When you see a display of allocated files, click on the box on the left under Pick. Once you have checked all the files you are going to pick up, click on âPick Jobâ button at the bottom.
g. Download the audios and transcribe the same. Upon completion of transcription, upload the document via the marketplace once again. To do this, log into your account, go to the Dashboard, click on Under Transcribing. Use learn more link to see the screen flow to complete your evaluation.
6. How do I know if I have passed the test?
The results of the evaluation can be seen under Evaluation Results on the Dashboard. Allow 24-48 hours for Transcription HUB Quality Control team to review your files. An email will be sent to you when a decision has been made.
7. What would be my working hours?
If you have chosen to go the vendor/home based transcriber route, there will be no set working hours. However, you will have to complete and return the transcript within 24 hours of picking up the audio/video.
8. Is there a set target to be completed each day?
You will be assigned a maximum pickup limit at the time of being brought onboard as Live Transcriber with Transcription HUB. You can pick up audio/video files up to your max limit and need to return the transcript within 24 hours of audio/video pickup. The max limit can be increased or reduced based on your availability. Failing to deliver the files within 24 hours will qualify that Job to âOver Dueâ and Payment for those Jobs will be denied.
9. Once I have completed the evaluation process, how do I go on to start live work?
Once you have successfully passed the test, you will be provided with an NDA and a contract agreement, both of which you will have to sign and return. After both have been signed, you can log into your account on Transcription Hub to start working on live files.
10. How do I pick/receive the files to transcribe?
Log into your account on www.transcriptionhub.com. Click on Marketplace. You will see a display of available files. Click on the box on the left under Pick. Once you have checked all the files you are going to pick up, click on Pick Job button at the bottom.
11. From where do I download the picked/assigned jobs?
Log into your account on www.transcriptionhub.com. Click on Dashboard. Click on Under Transcribing. All your jobs will be displayed here. Click on Edit link of a job. You can now download your audio/video from the subsequent screen.
12. How do I upload a completed transcript?
Once again, log into your account on www.transcriptionhub.com. Click on Dashboard. Click on Under Transcribing. All your jobs will be displayed here. Click on Edit link of a job. You can upload the completed transcript via the Upload Transcript link towards the bottom of the display. Click on Choose File and then click on Upload once file has been chosen. Change the Status at the top to Completed. Add in any comments if you need to pass on any to the QC or Admin on the audio/video or transcript. Finally, Click on Save. This will upload your transcript to the system.
13. How do I reject a file?
Once again, log into your account on www.transcriptionhub.com. Click on Dashboard. Click on Under Transcribing. All your jobs will be displayed here. Click on Edit link of a job. Change the Status at the top to reject. Click on Save. This job will be moved to your reject list.
14. What have to be done if I am not able to attach the document?
Please attach the transcript and email to transcriber@transcriptionhub.com along with the JobID
15. Whom should I contact if I am unable to see any files in the Marketplace?
Please email transcriber@transcriptionhub.com if you find that you are unable to see any files in the marketplace.
